Smycms Wardrobe – Helpers Wanted.

The arduous task of clearing the Smycms Wardrobe has begun in earnest, and to this end would like to ask if there are any ex-Smycms out there who could come along on Saturday 23rd July from 11:00 a.m. to help clear out the wardrobe. The contract we had for storage of the wardrobe has now expired and we have to vacate the premises within the next 2 weeks.

The decision was made to get rid rather than try to find another storage area which would have cost us money which we don’t have. We have been hanging on for the last 2 years trying to find some one who would be interested in acquiring or purchasing our extensive range of costumes but to no avail, so sadly this would appear to be the last nail in the coffin of The Smycms.

We have made a start, myself and Alan Gillespie along with our long suffering partners attended today and managed to fill 6 bags of costumes which we donated to the British Heart Charity, another  10 bags went to Clothes for Cash and a further 25 bags went to the dump.  We still have a lot to do, so if you can spare a few hours on Saturday It would be much appreciated. If you have a car then that would be helpful, if not we would still need your help in filling up the bags prior to transporting them to charity shops or to the dump. If you can make it then Thanks, if not thanks for listening.

BY CAR
From Edinburgh City By-pass (A720)
Leave at Sherriffhall roundabout onto A68 (Signposted Jedburgh).
Follow A68 through Dalkeith town centre towards Jedburgh to traffic lights at the junction with B6482.
Turn right onto B6482, Easthouses Road (signposted Mayfield, Easthouses, Newtongrange).
At next roundabout turn left onto Eskview Road.
Take second right into Stone Place, then almost immediately first left into an unmarked road that leads directly to the business park.
NB – Parking is available on the business park and also at the Gospel Hall on Stone Crescent.

NB – All buses stop at Mayfield Roundabout with direct access to Sycamore Road.
