Guys And Dolls 1989

Here is a selection of photos from the program of Guys And Dolls, Smycms Production of 1989. As  we read from the Presidents message,

” Welcome to our show and thank you for your support. Guys and Dolls is a lovely musical comedy, rich in humour and our dancers are given the opportunity to show their paces in some lovely dances and in different routines. The songs are varied, from the romantic “I’ll Know , and “I’ve Never Been In Love Before” to the more rumbustious “Follow The Fold”, “Luck Be A Lady”,  and “Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat”.

Production, Staging and Choreographing have not been easy. With so much movement, so many people having to be in place at a given time our Producer and Choreographer have had all kinds of problems to overcome, and I’m sure you’ll agree the finished product reflects great credit on their skill and expertise.

Our grateful thanks are due to Elizabeth Fyfe as Producer / Musical Director and to Jeanette Fyfe who is responsible for Staging / Choreography.

I’m sure this production will provide a splendid evenings entertainment, so sit back and enjoy it. Yours Sincerely W.A. Turnbull President”

and successful it turned out to be even to the extent that the Smycms  staged a concert of songs from the show at the St Brides Theatre the following week.
