Thank You For The Music

Thank You For The Music, is the title of the Edinburgh Telephone Choirs 70th Annual Concert at the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th April 2017.

No other choir in the city is quite like this – including the unusual name. The choir was founded in 1947 by Mollie Scott, a supervisor in what was then Rose Street Telephone Exchange, Edinburgh. And no other choir has a repertoire quite like theirs. It has always been remarkably varied: ranging through show and fiilm music, popular hits of the last 50 years, to community songs, spirituals and opera.

At their 70th Annual Concert they are delighted to welcome back as guests the skillful dancers from the KS Dance Academy and the talented musicians of the Broxburn & Livingston Brass Band. They all help to ensure, as their regular audience knows, that no other concerts are quite like theirs.
